Bones For Life® Introduction with Deborah Lotus:

When: March 9-14, 20 hours, 30 processes

Cost:    $395 dollars for “Teacher Training Track” (for those who want to use it professionally) or $295 for those only interested in a “personal intensive” for bone health, weight bearing, posture, learning a daily movement practice (or $95 per day, $180 per 2 days, $265 per 3 days.)

Deborah will also be available for FIs during the workshop.

Participants will learn to:

Enhance bone strength through safe dynamic weight bearing movement and resistance.

Improve posture and cultivate a reliable anti-gravity axis.

Coordinate natural patterns of movement that minimize compressive forces on the spine.

Use neuro-motor strategies for assuring the safety of vulnerable joints.

Create springy pulsations of pressure that promote bone health.

Increase ability to go up and down stairs with ease and comfort. 

Improve dynamic equilibrium, stability, and the ability to fall “well”.

Reduce stiffness, aches and pains and restore the joy of movement.

Maximize function, vitality, and quality of life with aging.

Deborah Elizabeth Lotus, GCFP ; Certified Bones for Life® Trainer,  trained with originator Ruthy Alon at Kripalu Center  (2001-4). Deborah first trained personally with Moshe Feldenkrais, D.Sc.,  beginning at Esalen Institute in 1972, continuing in the First Professional Feldenkrais® Training Program in S.F. in the mid-‘70s, ultimately graduating during the second professional Amherst Training in 1981. She was among the first designated Pioneer BFL Trainers in North America in 2004.  She has taught both the Feldenkrais® Method and Bones for Life Classes at Harvard University’s “Center for Wellness and Health Communication”; Wellspace, the Arlington Center,  was Guest Faculty/Trainer at Lesley University’s professional BFL Training in 2005. She is committed to the concept of team-teaching and with four other Feldenkrais and BFL colleagues has recently formed Cambridge Feldenkrais® Associates in Harvard Square.  Deborah has spent extensive time in Africa, traveling, teaching and observing cultural/primal movement patterns in dance, ritual and daily life.
